The importance of training

2nd Quarter 2010 News & events

The Fluid Power Association of South Africa will also be introducing a new hydraulic hose certification programme for relevant suppliers. The process will allow for approval or disapproval of the methods used by the company as well as competence of the staff involved in the manufacturing and testing of hydraulic hose assemblies.

“Genflex fully endorses this South African Fluid Power Association (SAFPA) initiative and expects to become certificated within the next few months,” says David Michelle. “As this is a brand new programme no company in South Africa has been certificated as yet.”

Michelle continued, “Most of our junior staff that have attended the Garnett Cross training programmes have achieved an extremely high pass rate. Our senior internal sales consultant Michelle Garner achieving a 96% pass. The majority of the junior staff from Genflex have received marks of 95% with the highest recorded pass rate being 99,5 % and we believe that this pass rate is by far the highest recorded in our industry and reflects the quality and calibre of staff employed by Genflex Hydraulics”.
