Sauer-Danfoss creates new businesses

1st Quarter 2011 News & events

Sauer-Danfoss has implemented a new business structure which includes the creation of three new businesses. These encompass all the cartridge and hydraulic integrated circuit (HIC) valves, gear pumps and motors, and inverter products which were previously designed, manufactured and marketed within the central Sauer-Danfoss organisation.

In the new structure, Comatrol handles cartridge valves and HICs; Turolla OpenCircuitGear covers open circuit gear pumps and motors; and

Schwarzmüller-Inverter manages electric inverter products. All three are fully-owned members of the Sauer-Danfoss group. The new standalone businesses will operate as smaller, more agile entities and will manage their own sales, production and support organisations with the aim of becoming more responsive in their respective markets.

Meanwhile Sauer-Danfoss has maintained its five business areas representing each of the core product lines: hydrostatic propel, orbital motors, electronic components, steering, and PVG spool valves. However it has introduced a new focused sales structure, the result of customer input and targeted research.

“We are on now course to create a stronger and more vibrant company, fit for the future and ready to be a decisive factor in our customers’ success,” says Sven Ruder, president and chief executive officer of Sauer-Danfoss.
