Mechanical engineering equipment exhibitions

1st Quarter 2011 News & events

Mechanical Engineering Equipment Exhibitions (MEEE) is an association of companies involved in the mechanical engineering industry that have agreed to pool their resources for marketing purposes. Each year the members organise exhibitions in areas of southern Africa that are experiencing significant building or refurbishing activity. The idea of these exhibitions is not to get large numbers though the gates but rather to reach the important decision makers of the industry.

Members share the cost of each exhibition. This makes the shows financially viable, even for small companies. Each member company invites its own guests to the show and displays on a small exhibition stand. This pooling of customers, suppliers, manufacturers, event co-ordination and finance gives them cross-selling and networking opportunities that would not normally be possible.

Current members of MEEE are Hydromobile, Rand Blower, Dymot Engineering, Shaw Almex, Elephant Lifting Equipment, Techmatic Holdings/BSM, Stone-Stamcor, Binder SA and Actom.

The provisional calendar for 2011 is as follows:

March: Witbank

July: Sishen

September: Phalaborwa
