Generate nitrogen in-house

3rd Quarter 2011 Pneumatic systems & components

Maxigas Nitrogen Gas Generators from Parker Domnick Hunter have produced nitrogen from compressed air for over 40 years. Parker Domnick Hunter is a specialist in filtration, purification and separation technologies. The generators offer an energy efficient, reliable and safe alternative to the traditional cylinder or liquid gas. They provide a continual source of nitrogen gas for a wide range of industries including plastic injection moulding, packaging, food processing, laser cutting and pharmaceutical applications.

Maxigas operates on the Pressure Switch Absorption (PSA) principle to produce a continual stream of nitrogen gas from compressed air. With Maxigas it is also possible to generate nitrogen at a fraction of the cost of traditional sources and at any required purity from 5% to 10 ppm oxygen content. The generators are low maintenance and the nitrogen is always on demand, eliminating the risk of lost production time due to the gas running out.

The Maxigas generators are also compact so installations take up less floor space and will fit through a standard doorway. The unique modular design means that extra banks can be added as needs change and grow. Operating costs are cut significantly as there is no safety hazard associated with storage, handling and changing heavy high pressure cylinders.
