Genflex increases hydraulic hose exports

3rd Quarter 2012 News & events

Genflex Hydraulics continues to increase its exports of hydraulic hose and fittings throughout the SADC region, raising its regional market share to over 20%. Deputy managing director, Tiaan du Preez said, “Genflex has exported hydraulic hose and fittings to the sub-Saharan Africa and SADC regions for many years and we are delighted to see this increase across sectors which are specialty areas for the group.

“Genflex has the ability to maintain a good stockholding of quality products. We also have a reputable turnaround time for the delivery of stock and an excellent back-up team to service the customer. We are supplying hydraulic hose and fittings from across the range, but in particular our DIN 2 SN hydraulic hose. We expect our export sales to SADC to increase to over R1 million per month and are pleased to see an increase in orders from the other industrial sectors that we service.

“We also offer customer training in the manufacture, product knowledge and installation of our hydraulic hoses as well as assistance in identifying the correct hose for the application at hand. We will shortly be setting up partnerships with dealerships in those countries that currently import from us as we believe that it makes economic sense to be more visible and active there. This will enable us to provide back-up service more easily,” concluded du Preez.
