Cut compressed air costs

3rd Quarter 2012 Pneumatic systems & components

Power costs keep rising and the need to reduce compressed air costs is paramount for many engineering managers. Combined with this is the need for reliable compressed air filtration to maintain the highest possible up-times on production lines.

The cost of failure of pneumatic valves and cylinders is always an issue. To solve this problem the patented series of NGF Venturi-Wave filters from SPX Korea, distributed by Artic Driers, can prevent premature pneumatic equipment failure and reduce compressed air costs.

The design of the filter element’s neck promotes a turbulent free transition from the pipeline to the element; this dramatically minimises pressure drops and reduces compressed air costs. In addition the pleated high performance filter media increases the filtration surface area and reduces pressure drops by up to 50%. The 96% void-volume ratio increases the dirt loading capacity, extending the filter life cycle and change-out times.

Element construction is extremely strong as the element filter media is supported by internal and external seam welded stainless steel support tubes. With a range of filtration grades from 0,01 to 3 μm and oil removal down to 0,004 mg/m³, air quality is assured. The NGF filters are tested to ISO 12500, the latest international test code applied to inline filtration.

The colour coded elements make element changes simple and problem-free. With a range of filter grades available, all applications are assured of high quality air from the new NGF range. Artic Driers provides a full range of differential monitoring and condensate drain options for clients to choose from.
