Genflex launches 24-hour service vans

1st Quarter 2013 News & events

Genflex Hydraulics has launched a new 24-hour service van for existing and prospective customers. Tiaan du Preez, deputy managing director says, “We have realised that as more companies reduce their staff our clients may not have sufficient staff of their own to service breakdowns and assemble hydraulic equipment onto their machinery. Therefore we are launching, as a pilot project, a 24-hour support service to assist customers with breakdowns and urgent technical backup requirements.”

“If this pilot project is successful, we will implement facilities at every Genflex branch throughout the country. Genflex’s founding reputation was built on its quick response to customer requirements and this new service will continue that tradition – putting the customer first,” he continues.

Genflex service technicians have been trained to conduct on-site repairs, not only for hydraulic hose but also for steel pipework and the assembly of systems. The emphasis will be on offering a lower priced service to the hydraulics industry.

Du Preez continued, “In the last 20 years Genflex has grown from a very small company into one of the largest suppliers of hydraulic hose in South Africa. The directors believe that this new project will be a growth area in a niche market and anticipate having 15 vehicles active within two years.”

The service vans will operate under the Genflex subsidiary company, High Pressure Hose Services. Genflex welcomes any enquiries from current and prospective customers who may require this type of customer service and offers negotiated fixed prices to manufacturers who require a hydraulic service on the building of their equipment.
