SAFPA certification for Eaton Hydraulics

2nd Quarter 2013 News & events

Eaton Hydraulics recently achieved accreditation by the South African Fluid Power Association (SAFPA). Manny Vieira, area sales manager – southern Africa, explains the significance of the accreditation. “Not only is Eaton Hydraulics ISO certified, but with SAFPA accreditation we can now give clients the added luxury of knowing that Eaton is not just one of the biggest brands in the world, but that it has also been vetted nationally. The level of compliance of our products is at a very high level,” he says. “SAFPA certification is assurance to the market of an exceptional high standard in the local assembly and manufacturing process of Eaton fluid conveyancing products.”

The SAFPA certification is based on strict criteria for hose and hydraulics products and components, and focuses on two pillars of evaluation: quality and assembly process. The founding principle is that quality is a key priority and is the primary objective in relation to both product and service to customers.

A vital aspect of accreditation is accountability and sustainability, and SAFPA requires that the accreditation process is repeated every two years. “In order to supply high quality hydraulics and fluid conveyance products continually in the South African market, it is critical that only the best products are available,” says Eaton Hydraulics technical manager, Leonard Myburgh. “By being accountable to an accreditation process every two years, assemblers are obligated to provide only the highest quality products. Eaton Hydraulics has always provided products and components produced to the highest standard and the SAFPA accreditation is further testament to that.”
