Hytec on the doorstep of gold mining

1st Quarter 2015 News & events

Hytec’s partnership with Tramtrade has positioned the group in the centre of Carletonville-Westonaria’s gold mining hub. As the official distributor of Hytec’s hydraulic, pneumatic and drive control products, Tramtrade has seen exceptional growth for the past 10 years and gives 33 mine shafts and 14 processing plants access to Hytec’s expansive product range and 24 hour technical service and support.

The Hytec Group has an official business unit in Klerksdorp, and in Carletonville-Westonaria it has another business unit through Tramtrade – its conduit to gold mining in the area. Independently owned, Tramtrade procures and sells the complete range of Hytec’s products and technologies used in gold mining. This includes hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders and filtration technology. Tramtrade retains stock of critical movers, particularly hydraulic pumps. It has also developed its own range of flow and control valves specifically for non-hydraulic applications.

“Tramtrade gives us the right representation in this critical and constantly-growing business area. Under the leadership of Hans Vierra, we have found an ally in the mining hub who understands the needs of the area and promotes our product and our business as if it was one of our own sales representatives or business units,” says Freddie Kühn, regional manager, Hytec. “The distribution agreement with Tramtrade is a key appointment and this initiative further supports our ability to offer extensive aftermarket product support and technical backup for our core product brand, Bosch Rexroth,” he concludes.
