Hydroscand signs agreement with Sumitomo Riko

Hydroscand has signed a unique distributor agreement with Japanese industrial company, Sumitomo Riko. The new agreement implies that Hydroscand will be Sumitomo Riko’s partner in Europe and South Africa, distributing the company’s hydraulic hoses in these markets. Hydroscand is the market leader in hose and fluid components in Scandinavia. The company has more than 50 years of experience in assembling and distributing hoses and fluid components.

Sumitomo Riko has its head office in Nagoya, Japan. The company manufactures automotive parts, including anti-vibration rubbers, hydraulic and industrial hoses, IT-related products such as cleaning blades and precision rolls, and various industrial materials. Sumitomo Riko is specialised in the manufacture of flexible spiral hoses and has successfully delivered hoses to customers such as Hitachi and Komatsu, meeting their rigorous and special demands.

I am convinced that signing this agreement will add significant value to the business of both companies,” said Hydroscand’s owner and chairman Björn Holmström. “This is a huge step in our aim for further growth in the global market,” added Sumitomo Riko president and COO, Tetsu Matsui. “Through this collaboration, we intend to forge ahead with our business expansion by delivering products that are consistent with European market trends in terms of cost and quality.”
