Piston actuated valves
2nd Quarter 2011, Pneumatic systems & components

Spirax Sarco’s PAV series piston actuated valves are designed for use with automatic isolation utilities and process fluids.

Suitable for on/off duties, the two-port, angle pattern valves are available in sizes from DN15 to DN50. A wide range of valve body connections, including sanitary clamps, meets most customer requirements.

PAV body materials are offered in stainless steel or bronze, with angle seats and a high flow capacity. The soft seal construction provides a high degree of isolation. PAV valves operate up to 180°C and the maximum body design rating meets PN25. The choice of end connections include screwed BSP and NPT, butt weld, socket weld, sanitary clamp and flanged ANSI 150.

The piston actuator operates with a 20 bar maximum differential pressure with a spring-to-close, spring-to-open on air failure or bidirectional action. Various options include solenoid valves, flow regulators and travel switches.
