New machine shop for Genflex

After moving into a new factory in Alrode in 2011, Genflex has now streamlined its operations with additional machinery and new computer software that allows the company to track what stock is held at any branch. As a result Genflex has employed Dwyne van der Mesht as manager to oversee and ensure ongoing training.

Tiaan du Preez, Genflex deputy managing director said, “Our machine shop has been enlarged as a back-up for urgently needed fittings that are either out of stock or have not been received from our overseas suppliers. Three further automatic machines have been installed, bringing the total to 16. Many of our customers require non-standard parts or adaptors and these are manufactured in our machine shop to their specifications.”

Although petrol costs are very high, Genflex has purchased three new bakkies in order to maintain its superior service to existing and potential customers in the coming year. Genflex believes that there are many challenges to be faced in the near future, but the company still sees many opportunities in the marketplace and believes these will enable it to continue to expand throughout southern Africa.
