Genflex runs hose assembly workshops

The mining sector is operational 24 hours a day and it is critical that downtime is kept to a minimum due to the high costs involved. The application and use of hydraulic hose and associated fittings and components requires operators to be fully trained in order to operate the equipment correctly.
Genflex Hydraulics has been awarded a contract for two workshops on hydraulic hose component assembly by a mining concern in the North West Province. These workshops are aimed at training staff in the manufacture, assembly and application of hydraulic hose and fittings. They will give the workforce a greater knowledge of hydraulic operations and help prevent unnecessary stoppages. The contract is worth R2 million per annum.
Genflex Hydraulics already offers customers a 24 hour service van facility with qualified technicians available to assist with hydraulic hose problems. The addition of hydraulic hose component assembly workshops is a natural addition to the company’s menu of customer services. Opportunities outside South Africa for these workshops are also being investigated.
