Faster SRL’s Africa export manager, Nicola Salvagio recently visited Hydrasales. He conducted training on the latest range of Faster Multifaster blocks and the range of couplers in the FFH and FHV series. He demonstrated the sturdiness of the Flat Face block and the ease with which it could be connected with the mobile half under pressure (250 bar) and the fixed part under residual pressure only. The 4BD range has high flow capability, low connection effort and operates at a 35 MPa working pressure.
Hydrasales has been the official distributor for Faster’s range of quick release couplings in southern Africa since 1981. Hydrasales stocks a full range of pin-type couplings, flat face quick release couplings and dust caps. Faster’s 60 years of experience in the hydraulic industry has seen this multinational leader design and manufacture over five hundred million quick-release couplings, that are covered by 20 patents. All Faster couplers are designed according to international standards.
Hydrasales general manager, Elvira Caripis was impressed by the sturdiness of the FHV range, which locks after connection, preventing accidental disconnection. This series of flat face couplers can be used on demolition equipment, jack hammers, drilling equipment and excavators, amongst other applications. Veteran Reg Pretorius engaged Nicola on the merits of the coupling and was convinced of its versatility. Nicola was impressed by the level of technical expertise in the South African hydraulic industry and was well received by leading hydraulic manufacturers on customer visits.
