The Scotseal Classic is coated with Bore-Tite which provides a better seal compared to a simple metal-to-metal press fit. The sealing element consists of three lips: a spring-loaded primary sealing lip that is factory pre-lubed; a dirt exclusion lip; and an outer bumper lip that acts as a preliminary excluder, leading to greater durability. The unitised design provides a perfect running surface for the three sealing lips, preventing oil leaks and contamination ingress. This provides long lasting service and dependability, ensuring low cost of ownership.
The elastomeric material in the Scotseal PlusXL seal is formulated to provide maximum sealing performance and longer life under virtually all driving and road conditions. This factor, plus an O.D. design which allows the seal to be installed correctly without special tooling, is the optimum maintenance solution for wheel end seal replacement.
The Scotseal PlusXL has adhesive type properties that lock it onto the spindle, making a perfect seal even on worn spindles. No tools are required to fit the seal.
The specially formulated material and robust design offer numerous cost and time saving benefits. Included among these are extended life in contaminated conditions and high temperature capabilities up to 149°C. It is compatible with all popular synthetic lubricants, while the unitised design provides fresh running surface for sealing lips and keeps out road contaminants, thereby extending service intervals.
