Motion control solutions specialist, DC Auto-Motion, imports and distributes a large range of linear and rotary motion control components. The company offers quality products at reasonable prices to OEM, resell and end-user customers in the industrial, electrical, mechanical and automotive markets.
DC Auto-Motion has been the only official distributor of THK products in South Africa since 2013. This includes the entire THK linear motion range. Mechanical components developer and manufacturer, THK is a world leader in linear motion technology. THK stands for Toughness, High Quality and Know-how, and its creative ideas and unique technology have made the company pioneers in the development of the linear motion (LM) guide mechanism.
THK’s extensive product offering includes the creative ball spline, ball screws and link ball technology, which have made the company pioneers in LM guide mechanisms. In 1972, THK became the first company in the world to develop and commercialise the LM guide. This linear motion system enabled rapid improvements in the accuracy, speed and labour-saving potential of advanced mechatronic instruments. Machine tools and industrial robots become capable of ultra-precise operations, and semiconductor-manufacturing devices could operate in submicron units. More recently, the system has been applied in liquid crystal manufacturing lines, railway carriages, assistive vehicles, medical equipment, skyscrapers and residences, and amusement devices.
DC Auto-Motion distributes THK’s caged ball LM guides, standard LM guides, LM bushings, precision/rolled ball screws, lead screws, precision ball splines, precision cross roller rings and cross roller guides, as well as LM stroke, LM actuators, cam followers and grease lubricants.
