High Country Tek has created a unique precision proportional controller that is rugged, versatile, compact and simple to configure. The EVC multi-function digital valve driver can be configured to control different machine subsystems, requiring only a simple configuration file for a range of functionalities. This means one controller can meet many needs, reducing inventory and downtime.
An intuitive, free graphical user interface makes it easy for anyone to configure the EVC to system requirements. It can be powered by the mini-USB for desktop configuration while the coil output is turned off, so users can save and load configurations easily and safely via a desktop computer.
The EVC can be used in simple proportional single- and dual-coil applications or in more complex closed-loop pressure/speed control solutions. The mobile industry can take advantage of the SAE J1939 compatibility for horsepower limiting or anti-stall applications. Using a standard Deutsch connector, the EVC is rated to IP67 and solid potted, making it rugged enough to be mounted near the valves on the manifold to reduce harness costs.
The EVC module is a cost-effective solution for many of today’s valve control projects. Designed with two 12-bit 3,0 A outputs, the EVC is compatible with a wide range of 12 and 24 V coil requirements and manufacturers. Typical applications include mobile equipment 12 or 24 V cylinder control; flow and pressure control from one controller; hydraulic accessory/implement valve control, and control of motor speed and direction.
