Rittal South Africa has announced that Stephen Venter, who has been the managing director of the local operation for the last four years, has stepped down. His responsibilities have been taken over by Ute Schoeman, who has stepped in as acting managing director for the local operation. She will take on full responsibilities until a successor for Venter has been found. Schoeman is no stranger to the industrial arena and has strong management and leadership capabilities, having been in charge of another local multinational corporation for a number of years.
Rittal remains committed to the South African market and continues to invest and support the local operations. The company is a leading systems provider for enclosures, power distribution, climate control, IT infrastructure, software and services. It has offices in 58 countries and employs around 10 000 people worldwide. “Customers can be assured of our commitment and that we will endeavour to ensure a smooth transition in leadership,” comments Schoeman. “I look forward to the new role and to meeting with the staff and customers of Rittal South Africa,” she concludes.
