Precision bearings for high speeds and loads

SKF has launched a new range of super-precision bearings. These are designed to enable both OEMs and end users to optimise the performance of equipment and applications, deliver higher speed and load ratings, extend bearing service life, increase maintenance intervals and reduce energy consumption.

SKF acquired SNFA in 2006, and has since then been working to create the new range of super-precision bearings. The super-precision bearing types currently available include angular contact thrust ball bearings, high speed angular contact ball bearings, and NitroMax super tough steel bearings.

These new generation components are ideal for improving performance and productivity in applications such as metal cutting and wood working machinery spindles, printing machinery, turbo chargers, vacuum pumps, and racing cars.

SKF’s entire range of precision bearing designs will be replaced by the new generation of super-precision bearings within the next few years.
