Global accreditation for educational projects

Second Quarter 2005 News & events

Festo Didactic Germany has received Worlddidac Quality Charter (WQC) accreditation for the years 2004-2007. The certification was awarded based on the results of an evaluation taken by the WQC Board of experts. Festo Didactic now joins an elite group of accredited companies who participate in educational projects worldwide.

This certification goes beyond existing ISO standards, providing the assurance that a company has the capacity to deliver products and services, which contribute to quality education and sustainable results for the country to be served. Specifically, holders of the WQC must observe the goals of the international development organisations in their business policy.

Worlddidac is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness of learning and teaching, by promoting the best products available. The WQC was created in this context, in close cooperation with multilateral funding agencies, development organisations and representatives of donor countries.

Customers of WQC certified companies have the certainty that their suppliers are committed to education, adhering to standards of best practice regarding product quality, after-sales support, corporate governance, educational excellence, innovation and long-term stability.

"A Worlddidac membership assures Festo Didactic GmbH & Co., our head office in Germany, a leading position in the global trade with educational products, services and solutions. Since we in South Africa work closely with our head office in Germany, we will benefit from the high quality services and solutions that have been recognised by this global acclamation," explains Tom Webster, manager - Didactic, Festo South Africa.

As a WQC member, Festo Didactic will also benefit from discounts at Worlddidac trade events and exhibitions, free subscriptions to membership trade journals, free product listings and advertisements in trade publications, as well as access to the latest information regarding events, product innovations and other current activities through the Worlddidac monthly electronic newsletter.
