Ölflex is offering cable that is suitable for applications exposed to oils, water and emulsions. Ölflex Robust is resistant to water, oil (including biodegradable oils), grease, chemicals and fluctuations in temperature.
Most are familiar with outer sheaths manufactured from PVC, PUR and rubber. Ölflex Robust is manufactured from P4/11, which is a high-tech compound developed by the Lapp Group, and is resistant to a wide range of chemicals. The material has been developed in the company's laboratories and tested under the harshest conditions. Thanks to its black outer sheath and specially developed insulation material, the cable is also UV-resistant, radiation-resistant, heat resistant (up to 80°C) and humidity-resistant.
The cable is suitable for applications where vegetable, synthetic and mineral-based fats, waxes and oils (and their emulsions) are used; where cables are subjected to the flow of process water, sewage water and hot water containing fat solvents. They are also suitable for use in machine tools for metalworking and in washing plants. Its resistance to heat, cold, wind and weather make it suitable for applications in machinery used for handling and processing building materials, lifting gear and conveyors, compost and sewage plants.
The cables are available with different conductor gauges, different numbers of cores, with or without tinned copper wire braid screening; Cores can number as high as 50, with coding or numbering, or without - all depending on which cable type number is ordered.
