Montreal Protocol gases for dryers

Third Quarter 2005 Pneumatic systems & components

All Jemaco-Flair refrigeration compressed air dryers now supplied in South Africa are filled with Montreal compliant gases. From a global marketing perspective these air dryers are now acceptable in every country. "We have been using R134 for a number of years now, by replacing the old R22 gas with R407 it makes us compliant worldwide," reports Allen Cockfield of Artic Driers International.

Jemaco-Flair, the manufacturer of Artic Driers range of dryers, is part of the large SPX air treatment division that owns several other compressed air dryer and filter manufacturers. These include Hankison, Deltech, PPC USA Kemp, Dollinger and General Pneumatics to name a few of the better-known brands says Cockfield. The SPX group has sales in excess of 4,8 billion US dollars a year. These manufacturing plants operate in several countries around the globe and supply the major percentage of the world's air, gas dryer and filtration market.

Artic Driers now in operation for 15 years, has a large client base in SA. Its range of products is selected to operate in the harsh South African climate. Now the company is moving into 'higher gear' with increased stockholdings to satisfy the product demand.

The new 370 m² warehouse is affording the stock holding ability to maximise sales through fast delivery times and competitive pricing. This approach, coupled with its broad knowledge of the dryer market is expected to keep up a steady growth in sales.
