CompAir awarded ISO 9001:2000 accreditation

CompAir's experience in air compressors means that it is able to offer an intelligent air technology solution for essentially any set of requirements. Using its engineering competence and technical expertise, CompAir provides efficient, safe and clean power for an extensive range of process and production applications.

Clean, dry compressed air of a high standard, with strong customer service has always been a high priority for CompAir - with the company reporting major benefits of its efforts already being visible throughout the organisation. It has increased its selling margins on growing sales - and the company has experienced a net increase in jobs for three consecutive years. CompAir approached Global Conformity Services for its ISO accreditation in order to receive international recognition for excellent systems and service.

Global Conformity Services provides internationally recognised conformity assessment services and products, a subsidiary of SABS Holdings, it is considered to be the best-known service provider in this field in South Africa. Since 1980, the SABS has earned an enviable reputation for competence and professionalism in providing accreditation and certification services.

In July this year, CompAir was awarded its ISO 9001:2000 accreditation and celebrated with the industry. Theo Crous, managing director of the company stated: "Customer service is institutionalised in every system of the business and is now an automatic response. CompAir is in a better position to advance close, formal relationships with all clients." To celebrate excellent service, CompAir introduced preferred supplier agreements with preferential discounts and guaranteed spares availability, as well as a loyalty programme.
