Yale Industrial Products has introduced an overload protection device for the buffalo lever hoist. The overload device is designed for increased operator safety, as it is not always possible to know the exact weight of the load being lifted. Manual hand chain hoists and lever hoists are often worked at loads far in excess of their SWL.
The overload prevention device reliably prevents excessive overloading of the hoist during operation as, when the load reaches the preset overload value, the unit will stop operation in the lifting direction. Lowering of the load is still possible at any time.
The overload protection devices provide additional safety as it operates even in the case of false load weight estimation, reducing wear and increasing the working life of the equipment. The new design principle allows excellent consistency and response, promoting rigger safety.
