Tectra Automation, the sole distributor of Bosch Rexroth products in sub-Saharan Africa, is now offering Rexroth's inverted-tooth chains. These chains are engineered to meet current demands on reliability and cost-effectiveness with their two-part rolling pivot joint and specially meshed inverted-tooth chain and sprocket.
The inverted-tooth chain is suitable for use in a wide range of conveying applications including heavy duty and robust operations, conveying parts with small or large dimensions, processed or unprocessed work pieces, and fragile items.
The chains are used for classic circuit operation and their technical advantages make them suitable for drives with shafts that run in counter rotation or for reversing-operation drives. The chains can also be used as couplings.
The Rexroth inverted-tooth chain drive solution is distinguished by smooth, quiet and precise running. Wear is evenly distributed over all joints and pitches are increased at the same rate. Consequently, all links scribe one common pitch circle. The interlocking power transmission between the chain and sprocket is slip-free and no pre-tensioning is necessary. The variable construction of the inverted-tooth chains allows for any width or length. This is of significance when used in cramped spaces or with large shaft centre distances as it allows the solution to be optimised to the application and specific load. Due to their versatility, inverted-tooth chain drive solutions can be designed according to specific customer requirements and offer high efficiency and reliability which eliminate unnecessary breaks in production.
These chains can be used in harsh ambient conditions at high temperatures or with aggressive chemicals. They can handle high speed and torque and reduce wear on transported goods by offering quality surfaces.
