Lapp Cable is offering a comprehensive range of compression glands to suit its advanced cable range. One specific type which is suited to today's EMC demands would be the Skintop MS-SC-M, which is a uniquely designed IP69 compression gland manufactured from nickel-plated brass. This gland has an easy-to-assemble design that includes a circular contact spring which mates with the cables screen to provide EMC connection. It can be connected in three different formats some of which are illustrated in the diagrams where it is as easy as strip the cable, push the gland over and pull back for mating of the braid/screen and tighten the hood for a complete solution. It is also available with a locknut that has cutting edges for mating on painted or powder coated surfaces.
