Ernest Lowe launches its 'Own Brand' of pumps

Fourth Quarter 2004 News & events

The Ernest Lowe in-house launch of its new 'Own Brand' of pump ranges was celebrated at a function at its Boksburg North premises on 8 October 2004.

While the pump ranges were being introduced to personnel from the country-wide network of Ernest Lowe branches and distributors, guests applauded the handing over, by Brigitte Bentley of Bureau Veritas, of ISO 14001...1966, 9001...2000 and OHSAS 18001certificates to Ernest Lowe MD, Douglas Salmon. The new ISO accreditation is part of the on-going drive to ensure the delivery of absolute quality and service to all Ernest Lowe clients.

The ELCO hydraulic vane and variable, open loop axial piston pump ranges will maintain the Ernest Lowe reputation for quality and reliability while delivering affordability as well.

Quiet and efficient vane pumps come in a range of sizes - as well as single, double and triple pump models. Mountings are flanged SAE, with VEL 1 and VEL 2 models available as BSP, NPT or SAE thread. High-pressure pumps are available on request.

ELCO variable displacement axial piston pumps are designed for open loop hydraulic systems. Precision built and interchangeable, they are supplied with load sensing, pressure, remote pressure or torque limiter control. Flow is proportional to drive speed and the flow may be smoothly varied by adjusting the position of the swash plates.

Features include:

* Maximum stop adjustment.

* Long service life.

* Low noise level.

* Wide range of controls.

* SAE mounting flange and shaft.

* Flange connection SAE.

* Two case drain connections.

* Continuous operation pressure of 28 MPa.

Ernest Lowe is also the local agent for Linde products.
