Hytec, distributor of Bosch Rexroth products for Sub Saharan Africa, has become the first company in the world outside of the Bosch Rexroth Group to receive accreditation as a Bosch Rexroth Service Centre of Competence (SCoC).
"We are now officially the only hydraulic company on the African continent with all the required test facilities (45 to 600 kW) to be an SCoC, with qualified manpower, Rexroth trained specialists and tutors, as well as an engineering team capable of handling any hydraulic project," says Hytec's engineering director, Ulf Hassdenteufel. After 14 months of upgrading, Hytec received the certification as an empowered enterprise offering the full-spectrum of hydraulics and automation products and services. This places the company on the same level of global quality as the 17 existing Rexroth-owned Service Centres around the world.

As part of a worldwide restructuring strategy, this will have several benefits to local customers, from faster service and competitive pricing on genuine spares to globally consistent, SABS approved repairs, warranties and exchange units with back up from Rexroth. A Remanufacturing Program (Reman) will now also be available on all pumps and motors.
