KEB launches next-generation inverter
Second Quarter 2007
Other technologies
Based on over 20 years of experience with inverter applications, KEB has created a new entry-level series of inverters suited for machinery applications. The inverters are designed with state-of-the-art power transistors and 32 bit microprocessors. Sizes 0,37 kW and 0,75 kW - 230 V a.c. will be available as of June 2007. Additional sizes up to 4 kW 400 V class will follow in the third and fourth quarter of 2007.
The B6 combines proven functionality and integration of previous external functions with many new features. The user interface includes an easy-to-use operator menu, up to eight customisable parameter sets, and extensive customisation possibilities. The control signal interface of the inverter can be chosen between the classical analog/digital I/O configuration or is available with an optional CAN serial interface. The inverter also incorporates a PC diagnosis interface for the KEBS universal KEB COMBIVIS software tool. The new inverter is equipped with EMI filters according to EN55011, class B and no fan is required for internal ventilation. For cooling, the inverter is available with a classical air-cooled heatsink for mounting inside a panel or with a flat rear heatsink.
