Genflex reports increased sales

Fourth Quarter 2007 News & events

An anticipated 27% growth in turnover during 2007 will become a 35% growth in real terms for this year reports Genflex Hydraulics, a leading supplier of hydraulic hose and fittings. The Genflex board of directors expects group sales to be over R65 million for the year 2007/2008.

David Michelle, Genflex director, said, "Orders for August of this year have increased by 12% over anticipated budget. I attribute this continued positive trend to the fact that the Genflex name is now becoming a recognised and sought-after hydraulic hose and fittings brand. The first consignment of our newly branded adaptors from China is due to arrive shortly."

Genflex will soon offer its own range of branded hose and fittings

Genflex will soon offer its own range of SAE 100R13 6 spiral hydraulic hose, hydraulic interlocking fittings and Nylon 6 tubing in 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm sizes in black, natural, red and yellow. The hose will be Genflex branded and available in lengths of 100 metres. Nylon 6 tubing is most suited to applications in the heavy-duty pneumatics, automotive, trucking, and food and canning industries.

"In line with this improved performance by the Genflex group of companies, we believe we are strategically placed to extend our services and products to the greater Richards Bay area. We will be opening a branch in Richards Bay and making our presence known there by January 2008 at the latest.

"We have also identified a niche opportunity within the materials handling sector in Gauteng, and currently have on order R350 000 worth of specialised hydraulic fittings to service this industry," concluded Michelle.
