The Starvert series from LS Industrial Systems is a family of variable frequency (AC) drives. The basic function of an AC drive is to transform DC to AC electronically and control the speed of a motor by changing voltage and frequency input.
The LS Starvert iG5A is a price competitive compact drive with a user-friendly interface and rating up to 7,5 kW. The drive offers a high starting torque and automatic motor parameter tuning using a sensorless vector control algorithm. Extensive self-diagnostics are incorporated in this drive.
The Starvert iP5A series has been optimised for fan and pump operation. It incorporates a dual PID algorithm for PID or cascade PID control. The drive also offers multimotor control so that many motors can be controlled from a single controller, allowing users to take advantage of energy-savings while keeping capital investment down. To protect motor and inverter failure due to high humidity levels, the drive offers a pre-heater function. To optimise starting when the driven machine is already rotating (pump turbining or natural convection rotating fans) the iP5A operates the motor by searching the motor speed automatically. Other features such as auto energy saving, momentary power indication, constant torque - regardless of environmental conditions, and safety stop are available in this versatile drive.
