In December 2007 pumping solutions technology specialist, Verder Pumps SA (VPSA), celebrated the five years of significant growth and development achieved since its launch in December 2002. The Verder Group, which was founded in The Netherlands in 1959 by Andre Verder, saw a great demand for peristaltic hose pumps in South Africa. VPSA has firmly established its position in the South African marketplace around the company's innovative products.
VPSA has attained many records within the group. It is the fastest growing business unit of the Verder Group, which has 28 branches in 15 countries worldwide. The principal is a trusted supplier of high quality pumps and accessories for industries such as mining, water and wastewater treatment, food and beverage, and chemical processing; offering customers an extensive range of reliable peristaltic hose pumps, air operated diaphragm pumps, and magnetic drive centrifugal pumps.
The past year has seen the expansion and development of the regional dealer network. The company's head count has also grown with the addition of pump specialist, Rob Shaw. Verdermag sales have escalated rapidly with this model being favoured over conventional centrifugal pumps with mechanical seals. The Verdermag leak-free feature makes the pump a hit for applications where environmental aspects must be taken into consideration.
