IFM Electronic’s O5G500 photoelectric sensors reliably detect glass, film, PET bottles and transparent packaging. The O5G500 is a retro-reflective sensor with polarisation filter. In combination with a prismatic reflector with fine prismatic structure, it is suitable for the detection of transparent objects.
The automatic switch point adjustment ensures reliable operation in case of gradual soiling as may occur in normal industrial environments.
The sensor can be set to the corresponding application via the teach mode. Even clear-glass materials can be detected by pressing the teach button twice. The light-on or dark-on mode is set at the same time.
The O5G500 is also suitable for fast processes due to its high switching frequency of 2000 Hz. The compact sensor has a range of 50 to 1500 mm. A visible red light and various mounting accessories facilitate alignment during mounting. The sensor is connected via a standardised M12 connector.
