The range of clamp style AC/DC current probes from Universal Technic of France utilises Hall effect circuitry to offer high accuracy and wide frequency response current measurement in the range from 1 A to 7500 A.
The Micro 2000 can be used with conductors of up to 15 mm diameter to measure currents of up to 300 A in the frequency range 0-2 kHz. The mid-size Series SC can accommodate conductors of up to 52 mm diameter and currents in the range 5 to 2000 A at up to 10 kHz. The large jaw clamp will accommodate circular conductors up to 83 mm in diameter and busbars of 100 x 64 mm or 122 x 54 mm for currents of up to 7500 A in the frequency range 0-1 kHz.
Clamps are available operating off their own internal batteries or they can be powered externally by the analysing equipment. Various terminations can be supplied including BNC, D01 and 4 mm safety plugs for connecting to oscilloscopes, multimeters and other recording equipment.
