Hytec has been appointed sole distributor of Intermot radial piston hydraulic motors in sub-Saharan Africa, effective 1 August 2008.
According to Hytec Holdings Group managing director John Wingrove, the agreement is a further step in the company’s ongoing strategy to offer a competitive range of products covering the entire fluid power market.

“We are constantly striving to bring our customers the broadest range of products, backed by excellent service and support, and feel that the Intermot range will bring many benefits to our customer base.”
Intermot has been producing radial piston hydraulic motors since 1985 and produces more than 15 000 units annually which are sold worldwide through agents and authorised sellers. These Italian manufactured motors are cost-competitive and are directly interchangeable for Calzoni and Staffa motors. They are used in the steel, sugar, pulp and paper, and materials handling industries, and in applications such as drill rigs and thickener drives.
Hytec will be stocking the IAM Series of fixed displacement radial piston motors in capacities from 190–3000 cc/rev and these should have arrived by the time of going to print for warehousing at HYSA.
