Jacque Arnold has been appointed IT manager at Alstom Low Voltage Equipment.

Chris van Aardt has been promoted to low voltage works manager at CHI Control and Meissner.

Portia Sefiti has been appointed assistant human resources manager at CHI Control Components.

Tshepo Patrick Makgoba has been appointed sales representative for Static Power.

Tectra Automation has announced the appointment of Kevin Lombard to the position of general manager, effective from 1 June 2008. Lombard was previously the divisional manager – Linear Motion and Assembly Technology, and has been a full director of the Tectra Automation board since 2006.

Festo has announced the appointment of Greg Perks to the position of branch manager – Cape Town. Perks has been employed by Festo since 1995 and is an external examiner for UCT’s Mechanical Engineering Faculty.

Festo has announced the appointment of Philip Gilmour to the position of industry sector manager – Process Automation. Gilmour has held the position of Festo branch manager for Cape Town for the past seven years.

Hytec has announced the appointment of Denise Caripis to the position of Hytec Group SHEQ (safety, health, environment and quality) Manager. Caripis is a qualified ISO 9001 lead auditor, ISO 14001 environmental management system auditor, OHSAS 18001 auditor and an ISO/TS 16949 internal auditor.

Shorrock Automation has announced the appointments of Danie Burger as sales engineer at its Cape Town branch and Karl Schlaphoff as sales engineer at its Port Elizabeth branch.

Tectra Automation has announced the appointment of Erika Bennion to the position of divisional manager – Pneumatics. Bennion previously held the position of office manager/internal sales at Tectra Automation.

Harry Steyn has been appointed divisional manager – Linear Motion and Assembly Technology at Tectra Automation.
