Cherry picker control card

Fourth Quarter 2008 Other technologies

The SE.MNC electronic control card, compatible with the JC.5 series joystick, is designed for use on cherry pickers. The device enables the simultaneous control of a single proportional output, one of five on/off directional valves and a dump valve within the hydraulic unit.

The controller incorporates safety control so the current outputs are only enabled when the ‘operator present’ signal is active.

The standard version of the card is fitted with an adjustment trimmer which can be accessed by removing the top of the casing. Each PWM output is fitted with trimmers for minimum current adjustment, current gain and ramp up/down.

The minimum current setting helps to overcome valve overlap and increases the sensitivity of the joystick on the proportional valve opening. Minimum current value can be adjusted to between 0% and 50% of the maximum current.

The actuator’s maximum speed can be adjusted to between 50% and 100% of the maximum current gain.

The card’s ramp time is adjustable from a minimum of 0 s up to a maximum of 20 s.
