Tectra Automation recently supplied four conveyors, valued at R180 000, to system integrator Arsu Technical Services for use on an international tobacco company’s production line.
The project took some three weeks to complete and its scope included 200 mm wide and 22 m long ECS 40 Easy Conveyors. These were suspended from the ceiling to transport cigarettes and cigarette packets between production and final packaging.
ECS 40 Easy Conveyor
The Easy Conveyors concept is based on long experience in the development, production and implementation of product systems. The conveyors work with functional modules and use advanced engineering construction concepts.
A unique selling point of the project was the long conveyor length and flexibility to withstand the suspension. Tectra Automation divisional manager, Harry Steyn, says, “We were the company of choice due to our ease of installation, short delivery times and our lightweight product.”
Tectra Automation has similar applications in the pipeline for various blue-chip clients, including MTN, Vertex and Arctic Graphics.
