3-phase probes measure to 3000 A

1st Quarter 2009 Other technologies

The PRO-flex ACP3003_3 is a new 3 phase AC current probe utilising the Rogowski principle. It can be used to measure currents up to 3000 A from very low frequencies up to 10 kHz. The flexible and lightweight measuring head facilitates installation in hard to reach areas and with large conductors.

Current ranges to 30 A, 300 A and 3000 A are selectable by rotary switch and output sensitivity is 100 mV, 10 mV and 1 mV per Amp respectively. The probe has an accuracy of ±1% of reading and resolution of 0,1 A on a 30 A range, and 1 A on the 300 and 3000 A ranges.

The three Rogowski measuring heads are connected to three integrators housed in a single enclosure. Three individual output cables are provided for connection to oscilloscopes, recorders, and other devices via safety BNC connectors.
