The recently launched Datasensor SG2 Tiger series of Type 2 safety light curtains is designed to provide machine protection and supplemental safeguarding. These light curtain sensors reinforce Datasensor’s SAFEasy concept, offering ease of installation, connection, configuration and use.
The SG2 series comprises two models, namely the SG2-B (Base) model and the SG2-E (Extended) model. The base model is the natural replacement for earlier SF2 models while the SG2-E incorporates advanced functions such as manual/automatic restart, EDM (external device monitoring) function and anti-interference system.
The SG2 series includes models with 30, 50 and 90 mm resolution, controlled heights ranging from 150 to 1800 mm and with an operating distance reaching 19 m. Response times range from 8 to 24 ms, depending on resolution and height.
