Afriwater 2009 - renew, regenerate, refurbish

2nd Quarter 2009 News & events

Afriwater 2009, an exhibition that focuses on the critical need for sustainable water and waste management and water process control, takes place from 8–10 September at The Johannesburg Expo Centre, NASREC.

‘Renew, regenerate, refurbish’ is the theme for Afriwater 2009 and for the high profile co-located conference, organised by the Water Institute of South Africa (WISA).

The exhibition provides a platform to showcase trends, products, services and solutions that will benefit short-term and long-term water preservation and, ultimately, preserving our future.

“Water and waste management and water process control are critical issues that need to be vocalised and discussed within a forum such as Afriwater 2009, where leading industry players join together to find effective solutions and where innovative products and materials, technological developments and services can be seen and demonstrated,” says Zia Tomes, exhibition manager, Afriwater 2009, 2011 and WISA 2010.

“Together with WISA, the representative body for the water industry, we are actively looking for ways to engage all those involved in water services delivery and water services management, and the exhibition and conference are ideal platforms for this.”

Afriwater is organised by Specialised Exhibitions and has the full support and endorsement of WISA and the Association of Waste Management, assistance from the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry (DWAF), and a local and international network of contacts across Chambers of Commerce, Trade Consuls and Agencies, with strong marketing support into Africa.
