SKF recently hosted the annual SKF Distributor Convention in the Drakensberg, where an awards evening was held to honour authorised distributors, lubrication distributors and the SKF branch network for outstanding performances over 2009.
SKF Roodepoort, now part of Citi Bearings & Seals, won awards for both the Industrial Aftermarket Distributor of the Year and the Industrial Aftermarket Platform Distributor of the Year, the latter being based on sales volumes for non-bearing SKF technologies.

SKF also introduced a Best Sales Representative Award this year and the winner in this category was Johannes Lues from the SKF Rustenburg Branch.

On the lubrication solution side, SKF declared Ro-Li Lubrication Systems as the Best Lubrication Solutions Distributor, while Flosolve walked away with the Best Growth by a Lubrication Solutions Partner award.
Record Control Instruments was honoured with the Best Solutions Selling by a Lubrication Solutions Partner award, based on the total number of lubrication solution kits sold.
Bearing Services Lydenburg won the Best Industrial Aftermarket Growth category. The award recognised outstanding business growth in companies where annual sales volumes increased by a large margin.
