Genflex moved to larger premises in Alrode in November 2010. The result of an investment of R8 million, the premises are four times larger than the present factory area. Managing director Bruce Garner said: “The move will facilitate the growth plans of the company for the next 10 years. We are already reflecting a 23% growth rate over 2009, and the group has an annual turnover of R97 million.”
The new building will give Genflex 4000 square metres, with some 2000 square metres for factory space. It will enable the company to install a fully automated ordering system and attain ISO 9002 rating. In addition a new testing laboratory will be established with an impulse testing machine which can simulate hot and cold oil conditions as found in ultra deep mines.
