Delba Electrical has been serving southern African mining and industry with commitment to excellence for close to five decades and is one of the most respected, professional and trusted electric motor rewinding, repair and testing partners.
Delba Electrical repairs, rewinds and designs AC high/medium low voltage motors; new motors, certified flame proof motors, high efficiency and vibrator motors, load testing, axial flow ventilation fans and submersible pumps with performance tests and transformers. Additional services include extrusion, wire covering as well as coil manufacturing.
The company recently commissioned a R1,5m pyrolitic kiln, the first of its kind in the country, at its Springs facility. The kiln, used during the burn-off process, facilitates safe removal of electric motor windings by eliminating resins through PLC controlled combustion in the treatment chamber at 380°C. This critical part of the motor repair process ensures that stator core iron losses are not compromised by exceeding critical core temperatures during the burn-off process and that original motor design performance and efficiency are also not compromised. The kiln is fully compliant with international emission control requirements.
ISO 9001:2008 certified, BBBEE compliant Delba Electrical’s competent field service teams, with fully equipped vehicles, provide onsite services including laser alignment, vibration analysis, diagnostic testing, maintenance and emergency repairs. Delba recently established a depot and repair facility in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, in partnership with Zest Electric Motors.
