OEN Enterprises offers the Integra intelligent motor drive which has application in any industry using fixed speed induction motors.
Smoother and cooler
The Integra has standard features such as soft start and stop, starting and stopping programs for specialised applications, no load automatic shut down, belt breaking sensing with alarm output, and stored energy. It also has constant phase monitoring and load monitoring, and can react to changes in 1/100th of a second. As a result, the motor’s harmonics are constantly optimised. The effect of this is a smoother, cooler running motor. Therefore maintenance of the motor is minimised. This means less downtime, reduced repair costs and longer periods of operation before rewinds are required. These cost saving factors are crucial for running an efficient production line.
Energy saving capability
Unlike standard soft start systems or VSD type controls, however, the Integra has outstanding energy saving capabilities. It offers a 5% saving on 80% loading duty on the motor up to 70% on motors requiring high start-up power but less running power. For example, a fly wheel press (or any application that has inertia to aid its running) would yield higher energy saving results.
