Casual Day benefits the disabled

Casual Day is the one day in the year when anything goes. This popular fundraising event is based on the concept that you can wear anything you like as long as you have an official Casual Day sticker. Proceeds from the stickers go to organisations rendering services to persons with disabilities.
The 2011 campaign, themed on rock and roll over the decades, suggests that you cast off your everyday threads and dress in a way that sets your inner rockstar free. Stickers, obtainable for a R10 donation, show that you are dressed in support of the rights of persons with disabilities.
Stickers are available from Absa, Game and Edcon stores, as well as participating organisations rendering services in the field of disability. Casual Day is on Friday 2 September this year and the organisers hope to exceed the R18 million that was raised in 2010.
