OMSA meets ISO 9001:2008

Operational Marketing, part of the OMSA Group of Companies, is now compliant with the ISO 9001:2001 quality management standard, as audited and assessed by independent testing and assessment company TV Rheinland. The company specialises in lubrication systems for large items of rotating machinery such as crushers, mills, stacker-reclaimers, apron feeders, and ID and FD fans.

Using in-house expertise for the design of grease systems, hydrostatic and hydrodynamic oil circulation systems and bulk filtration assemblies, Operational Marketing has contributed to mining projects using the largest mills of their kind in the world. Clients include the largest mining operators in Africa, as well as Eskom’s new power stations.

The Strijdom Park premises are equipped with comprehensive fabrication machinery. The manufacturing effort is backed up by a large field services force, which is able to respond quickly to customer enquiries.

Execution of the massive Azmet Reactor project DRC

The Azmet Reactor project, a collaborative effort led by Viva Engineering, involved fabricating six massive reactors that were over three stories high in Gauteng, and then transporting these more than 2500 kilometres to a mine in the DRC - where all 3265 parts fitted perfectly, with not even one of the 26 900 bolts out of place. This was a massive achievement.
