Axiom Hydaulics regards all its customers, staff and suppliers as stakeholders. “Our growth over the years has been exceptional and we have progressed from being a small family business to a medium sized enterprise with both national and international customers,” says managing director, Neill Simpson. “Our loyal staff, most of whom have been with us for many years, have made a substantial contribution to this growth. We are now at the stage where restructuring the company has become essential.”
As a result all employees now participate in Axiom’s share ownership scheme. Members of the former senior management are now substantial shareholders and have been appointed directors. Younger professional engineers, managers and staff will continue to be employed selectively and will be offered shares where appropriate.
There will be a continuing change in ownership – effectively a management buyout over the next five years – when all shares will be held by staff. There are agreements in place to ensure that ownership will continue to be held by employees. Neill Simpson continues as managing director and will remain as mentor for as long as necessary, while Fritz Kern and Peter Cox have been appointed directors.

“Axiom will continue to strive to be relevant in changing markets. We have long established supplier contracts and offer quality proven products and services and we will continue to be strongly customer focused,“ concludes Simpson.
