Genflex increases hose sales
2nd Quarter 2012
News & events
Genflex Hydraulics increased sales of hydraulic hose during the first two weeks of February 2012 to an unanticipated level, with some 14 000 metres of 1,3 cm (½ inch) two wire hydraulic hose being delivered to the company’s distribution network and mining contacts.
Deputy managing director, Tiaan du Preez said, “The increase in demand, whilst not envisaged, caused no supply difficulties for the company due to our policy of keeping at least three months of hydraulic hose supplies available ex stock. As a result of this increased demand for pre-assembled hose assemblies Genflex has increased its hydraulic hose assembly staff complement considerably.
“A further added service that has already been implemented is the manufacture of stainless steel flexible convoluted hose, which is currently available from Genflex in all the major centres. We hope to have all of the Genflex outlets trained in the manufacture of these hose assemblies and fully stocked during the next nine months.”
In addition Genflex Hydraulics has recently reduced its prices on the full range of imported adaptors to allow the company to increase its share in the local adaptor market.
