Increased performance from Genflex branches
3rd Quarter 2012
News & events
Genflex branches have increased turnover in the first quarter of 2012 considerably. The company has over the last three years opened new branches as well as acquired new companies in strategic industrial areas. This has resulted not only in substantial group expansion but has also increased the company’s operational footprint.
Deputy managing director, Tiaan du Preez said, “Our network of branches has started 2012 with amazing results. Our Vereeniging branch increased sales by 218% during January and February due to the increased take-up of our hydraulic hose and fittings by the mining sector. Our Cape operations have increased turnover by some 50% as they have established new markets within the shipping and farming sectors. The KZN operations are also ahead of budget with the Jacobs branch on the South Coast performing particularly well. Operations in Brits and via Thames Trading in Boksburg have increased sales as a result of their ability to offer a same-day delivery and look beyond our traditional customer base. It is Genflex’s intention to incorporate more diversity into our business plans and develop our relationships with OEMs and the end-user customers.
Tiaan du Preez, deputy managing director, Genflex.
“Our expansion over the last three years has certainly paid dividends, and our offering of quality product, competitive pricing with professional back-up has enabled the Genflex Group to keep its increased turnover growth on a steady path.
“In addition, Genflex Hydraulics has invested nearly R1 million in new software that enables all the branches to be online throughout the country, streamlining administrative and management procedures, stock control and accountability, cost and delivery estimations and efficient customer invoicing. It certainly has enhanced our internal administration and accounting procedures,” said du Preez.
